The recording sessions will be teacher-led. The approach to recording will be impacted by how the audio drama has been written, the audio drama casting and in-school resources. Sound Engineer, Andrew Partington has created a video with some things to consider when recording. There are also template recording schedules and recording scripts to assist with the planning and delivery of the sessions. The below worksheet provides further infomation on approaching the recording.
Resources
When recording your audio drama it is important to have a clear RECORDING SCHEDULE. This ensures no moments are missed in the recording process, and helps with structuring the session. We have provided an example recording schedule below to help.
The number of scenes, characters and how dialogue has been approached during the writing process will all impact on recording. See out CASTING WORKSHEET for some more information about possible different appraoches.
It is also useful to arrange your scripts ready for recording. This helps provide line numbers to allow for easy pick ups and also helps identify SFX needed.
